This tour is an excellent option for any visitor who wants to learn more about Zagreb and its various different areas. These tours are guaranteed to be a great experience due to the small group sizes and knowledgeable guides. The tour lasts four hours and visits the main sites in the city. The tour is divided in to two parts, a walking part and another part that is done by vehicle.
The first part of the tour is in the charming Old Town (Cathedral, Tkalčić Street, Stone Gate, St. Mark’s Church, parliament building, government buildings, Lotršćak Tower etc.). This part of the tour will be done on foot.
The second part of the tour is a drive through the downtown area. In this part you will see examples of 19th century architecture (National Theater, Main Railway Station, Art Pavilion), and also more modern buildings (Old National Library, Mimara Museum, Meštrović Pavilion etc.). Crossing the River Sava, you will then enter New Zagreb. It was built south of the river after 1950 and here you will find the Zagreb Fair, Hippodrome, New Museum of Contemporary Art, malls and parks. Finally you will see the Mirogoj Cemetery (unfortunately often missed by many travelers).
